Any other kind of travel resource you could possibly want in book and map form. Nice ambience.
Original place to prepare your next trip & have a coffee
Great place. Food is great!
Very cool. Lots of community interaction and meeting and helping other people. Loved this place
Been going here for years & love it!
Great selection of maps and travel books for New Mexico and beyond. Good espresso as well!
Very helpful with my map search. The young man knew what he had and understood my quest. AND they have coffee and sweets which looked and smelled great.
Fantastic book store, travel store and wonderful maps. Also great coffee drinks and chocolate chip cookies
Went in for a cup of coffee - left with a couple books and travel gear as well. Love this store!
Loved all the maps. Food and drinks were delicious.
Coffee, maps (custom printed too), books, packs and gear, hats, watches and much much more. Fantastic place to start your day. Highly recommended! All top quality merch.
Sales people need customer service training.
needed to charge my computer [mind you, as a paying customer] - the unfriendly staff informed me that there was absolutely no electrical outlet available in the whole place... and they clearly weren't willing to help in any way. bathroom was dirty, too... my first and last visit...
It's definitely worth a visit. They have books and maps all over the place.
Travel Big is the best! Great selection of travel books and maps, but so much more! Coffee bar, travel accessories and wonderful staff.
Ridiculously well stocked store, with so many maps! Great gear. Oh and good parking!
Staff is super friendly and helpful. Excellent selection of maps, good selection of guidebooks and gear. They even have a coffee shop.
Nice little coffee shop with what looks like expansive map section. Employees were great, but owner/manager resented the fact that I was there to get a coffee and write a little bit of my paper on a laptop with a bad battery. There were no outlets for a computer, so I was sent to the back room. When in the back room I was again sent to a bench I had to stand at because the manager couldn't possibly walk an extra 4 feet around my cord. Come for the books/maps/coffee but don't stay around too long.
Great secret source of cookies!
Very cool place with coffee and lots of travel stuff
Best place in the city for domestic and international travel books. Great source for trail maps, very knowledgeable staff, and a coffee bar too.
Great travel store with expresso coffee and pastries, burritos w/o potatoes. Sit down at one of several tables. Many maps and books. Travel luggage and gear. Stand behind what they sell.
Astounding, encyclopedic collection of useful travel tools and books, plus espresso and teas.
Excellent service and guidance. Coffee excellent too.
It's a great place to hang out, drink coffee, eat great snacks and dream about being in wonderful magical places.
Great Coffee & Service with a pleasant environment.
People are awesome / Great service / Great place to find A LOT OF STUFF !!!
Cute little coffee shop with travel related books, maps, and knickknacks.
This store is amazing. Eric was very friendly and helpful. Love talking about maps! Great store. Shop local!!
Great service, delicious beverages and plenty to browse.
Great iced coffee, chai, Italian sodas and smoothies. Friendly staff. Great map store! Will be stopping by again. Nice seating area on shaded patio.
So many cool maps here!
Just drove more than an hour to get a map printed and got told that I couldn't be helped because, "I'm gonna get a rush and I have to finish my money." There was one other person in the store, whom this gentleman apparently had no trouble helping. I told him how far I'd driven to Santa Fe, solely for this purpose, and he said, "yeah. Sorry about that." Consider my business permanently lost unless some remedy for 2 hours of my time and expense is offered.
Travel Bug is the best map/coffee shop I have been to.
Very unique and fun travel shop. They have books and maps that will make you want to jump on a plane, plus all of the travel gear and gadgets you could want along the way! Stop in for a Mexican moca some night and listen to a travel talk on a variety of places ( from Antarctica to Zimbabwe ) .
If you're looking for the encyclopedia of travel ideas you need to look no further so go to the"Travel Bug" accompanied by knowledgeable friendly staff,high-quality travel products also not to mention fresh healthy tasty food items that will tantalize your taste buds!
From hiking trails to topography and from language classes to underwear, Travel Bug is one of a kind. Visitors delight in planning, reminiscing and discovering locations locally and from around the world. Owner Gregg Ohlsen spends hours producing New Mexico hiking trail maps voluntarily for the Sierra Club. Travel Bug also sells guidebooks, Eagle Creek luggage, hats and all sorts of accessories making your trip more comfortable and secure. Locally owned and operated, Travel Bug is in the independent bookstore tradition within their specialty environment!
Such a gem of a place! Amazing, knowledgable staff, killer coffee and a magical reminder of the power of passionately-run, locally-owned small businesses. (And their red chile mocha is some kind of delicious!)
Adorable travel store with friendly staff and awesome selection. We went in looking for a road atlas to carry as back-up on road trips and walked out with a hand full of things and recommendations for a few books to pass the long interstate hours. Worth a visit.
Cool spot. Love all the maps, and the prices are alright.
Beautifully curated little travel bookstore that is filled with maps, luggage, travel guides and other helpful travels items to take on your trip. They also have a cafe attached and seats that allow you to sit with one of the books as you sip your coffee and dream of far away places.
Very good coffee offerings and a great book selection. Customer service is very slow and quite grumpy. Probably worth it, as consistently good coffee is hard to find in Santa Fe's historic district.
Editing my review, the employees were more interested in each other than helping anyone there.
This place is strage but I always come out with positive memories and quirky gifts.
Going there many years. Money does not stay in wallet. Too many good things. Great for map geeks.
I love the travel bug! Where else can you study maps, plan a trip, learn a language, get great coffee, peruse great books, buy gifts, and see a presentation of amazing trips. Hyper local friendliness with an international consciousness and no hipster pretense. Want the Bug, have the bug, get the bug!
Great books, great maps, friendly staff! The only plqce left in Northern NM that will print a custom map of anywhere in the USA.
Such a cute little shop. Perfect for having a coffee, a pastry, and planning a trip. Or simply relaxing with good book in a friendly and cozy space.
Fun place for travelaholic. More books on travel than a library. Selection of suitcase, travel wear, MAPS, gadgets & a coffee shop too. They can also print out detailed maps on a large scale printer. They also offer classes & language lessons.
Great selection of travel books and maps for the Santa Fe area and the world. Some travel supplies. All offered in a coffee shop environment where hanging out is expected. And there is parking in the back. Staff is very knowledgeable about local hikes and willing to share.
